An early get up for a TGV out of Gare de l’Est, so an early morning start with about 5 hours sleep after watching the fireworks. After our late night going to the Eiffel Tower, we chose to NOT set an alarm but obviously being Healds, we were still up and about and in the Jardin du Tuileries for 10.30am to see the military flyover for Bastille Day. I know it’s not usually our scene to partake in huge national celebrations…
